Friday Thoughts

Exercise. I find exercise to be quite enjoyable especially when I have my ipod with me, but lately I just haven't been interested in running, I've just been walking on the treadmill with an incline. I decided it was time to get my butt back up and do something challenging so I invited a friend to go hiking on Wednesday at Mission Peak. Many things went wrong from the start:

  1. Heat Wave

  2. Didn't wash my exercise clothes the day before so I had to borrow

  3. Didn't eat a good breakfast

  4. Forgot camera :(

We left early in the morning to "beat the heat" ha! It was almost 80 degrees at 8 in the morning. I was half expecting to see an animal skull on the side of the trail.

Ok so this photo is an exaggeration, but it certainly felt like it at the time!

We made it to the first bench and we were both winded. I have hiked that trail a few times and have always made it to the top. Needless to say I felt defeated. My friend and I made a pact as we sat on the bench: we would conquer that trail next time, when it wasn't so hot! We hung out on the bench listening to music and enjoying the view and just chatting like old buddies. So even though we didn't make it very far, we still had a blast! My advice for today? Enjoy whatever activity you're doing and make the best of it, always works for me!

Happy Friday!

P.S. Tomorrow's Saturday post will be extra special :D

The heat has been horrendous lately - we had triple digits here in SoCal a few days ago...horrible!! :/

Hey Anaiz, sorry that I've been MIA but you know I couldn't stay away from your blog for long. I had a good laugh at this one. I totally know what you mean. I've been doing Yoga lately alone in the privacy of my own home and it has been kicking my butt! I was frustrated at first, but then I just decided to do what I could to the best of my ability and be happy with it. Have a great weekend!
