I have been (almost) completely selfless this season.

I have been so preoccupied with getting others the best gift that I forgot all about me. Well I did say I was *almost* totally selfless, so I will buy myself an outfit for Christmas as my present to me... and if I throw in some books then so be it!
I think I love this model! She rocks everything she wears, and I always buy them. Anyhow, the image for this outfit in my head includes a pair of colored or sparkly heels,
like these! Oh and an accessory or two.
I love the bow, so Christmas-y, everything else will just have to be something I already own. I'm not really big on earrings or necklaces.

Do you have your Christmas outfit(s)?

Something to add to my resume...

HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!
I would like to congratulate my sister and her "dude" as they have made plans to marry next fall/winter! AND my sister has appointed me the official planning assistant as they will be planning a small wedding and I am obsessed with weddings so I have lots of ideas to show her. I can't wait...
Oh I just love weddings!

Okay enough for now, I would've kept adding pictures, but I must away to the kitchen to make lunch.

Rest assured, I will be adding more wedding-related posts. Come on you know me!

I've got sunshine... on a Monday morning.

Actually it's still pretty dark out right now, but the sun is out there somewhere...
Well this past weekend I finally started getting some of my Christmas presents, oddly enough I have a lot of secret santas and white elephants gifts this year. I thought buying presents was a challenge, little did I know buying a generic gift is even more difficult! So I went with board games, I hope my coworkers enjoy using their brain... ha!

Scrabble and a puzzle! *note* these are not the exact ones I got, just some images.
Well that's for my white elephant exchange at work.

For my secret santa, I got someone.... my mom! Ok I said it, but she doesn't read my blog often and frankly she knows what she's getting because she's been dropping hints for weeks.

She is also going to get like a sweater or something, I'm not sure yet.

How is your holiday shopping going?

Friday Thoughts

Since I've begun working again, I've been experiencing the dreaded commute. I don't really mind it, especially when the radio seems to be playing all my favorite tunes. Since my sister and I carpool it gives a chance to chat and discuss anything and everything. If you don't carpool, you should try to find someone, even if it's once a week. Very recently a cousin of mine was in a car accident that totaled her car, luckily she was okay and was just spooked. It happened during a rainy day. As my sister was driving us home today it started sprinkling and it got me thinking, if everyone tried to drive just a little safer when it rained I think we could easily slash the number of accidents on the road. With that in mind, I sincerely wish you all safe trips this holiday season and in your everyday lives.

Drive safe!

Finalized my Major switch.

Ha, pun intended! So it turns out California does not have a license for Early Childhood Education. Boo California! So I am now majoring in K-8, I think this is called Elementary Science in some schools(?). I actually think this worked out better, I can work with little ones or I can work with older kids if I choose to. My projected graduation date is in 2013, but I will try my hardest to graduate at the end of 2012 *fingers crossed* WGU has been kind enough to send me a web cam, so now I don't have to travel to San Jose to take a test, wahoo! I'm finally getting back on track, it feels good to be taking courses again. Am I the only one who feels it's fun to learn?! Hope all is well with you all too :):):) I feel like I am talking about this over lunch...

How are you doing?
